Timetables
The National Video Conference Network timetables are an overview of the classes, courses and programmes currently offered across the network.
The classes offered by schools and other providers are all summarised here.
By cluster:
Each cluster has its own timetable containing classes it both offers and receives. These are printable so that schools can place a copy in their distance ed. area.
Nationally:
The national timetables:
- summarise all the bridged connections between the clusters
- attempt to summarise the point-to-point connections (for the information of cluster schools wishing to enrol students throughout the year).
The timetable format and timing are consistent over the entire network:
- Each programme/course has either 1 x 50 min class or 2 x 25 min classes each week on the VC between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm.
- All 50-minute classes begin on the hour.
- 25-minute classes begin either on the hour or on the half hour.
- The school offering the programme/course dictates when the class will be on. (The teacher has the discretion to negotiate this with students once the class is established.)
- It is recommended that a maximum of five schools/sites are able to be in a class at one time (including the teacher) and that a total of 12 students, from a number of sites, are able to enrol for any one class. (Note that special circumstances may allow for variation to this.)
Every class on the timetable will contain information about:
- the class level, subject, assessment, cost, required resources and prerequisites (if any) - with a link to the course information for that programme
- the host school/teacher offering the programme - with a link to the school website or contacts page.
