NewsHi All I have been following this blog for awhile http://vcoutonalim.org/ “Videoconferencing Out on a Lim" is about one distance learning coordinator’s experiences, curriculum thoughts, and technology rants related to k12 videoconferencing. I coordinate videoconferencing for 18 school districts in southwest Michigan. We have 70 Polycom units and we also have Tandberg infrastructure (MPS, Gateway, Gatekeeper and TMS). We’ve been doing videoconferencing since 1999. You can read about our program online here: SouthwestNet Distance Learning.” Some great blog posts recently about VC & communication, also some ideas for VC programmes (aside from regular classes). Maybe an opportunity for us to connect our kids? Take a look Rachel J Rachel Roberts E-Principal
Thanks to ongoing support from the Ministry of Education's Virtual
Learning Network, music lessons will be continuing to remote schools,
primary and secondary, in 2010. The programme for 2009, although small,
has served to train more specialist music tutors and to prepare the way
for 2010 with guidelines and processes that will support regional
clusters to implement music links in their regions.
